Vegetables that are particularly good to include in a diet that is beauty focused are those that are high in anti-oxidants. Create meals that are colorful to look at by choosing vegetables with deep colors. Eat vegetables raw where possible or if choosing to cook them, try to keep them firm.

Over cooking destroys the minerals and vitamins in vegetables and also results in destruction of the fiber content of the vegetables, which is essential for a healthy digestive system.

Brown rice will provide many nutrients and is preferable to white rice. Where possible, select fresh vegetables in preference to canned varieties as the heat treatment used to prepared canned foods often destroys much of the mineral and vegetable content.

Choose protein sources from legumes such as beans and from vegetables such as mushrooms. Tofu and meat alternatives like chick peas and lentils are great sources of protein.

A vegetarian protein diet is the perfect way to keep your body healthy and with the ability to quickly repair itself whilst resisting and fighting infections.
