Titanic Eco Spa Review

UK's First Eco Spa

The Titanic Eco Spa is the UK's first Eco-Spa. Occupying a building that in the mists of time was once a textile mill, it is now a state of the art spa, whose ethos is one of organic treatments, holistic approach and working towards total carbon neutrality.

spa reviews

To minimize their carbon footprint Titanic Spa has a CHP unit providing heat, solar panels, electricity that runs on clippings from sustainable wood sources, a 100m deep bore hole that supplies the spa's water, a salt regulated, chlorine free swimming pool and eco friendly laundry.

The building, an impressive 6 stories tall and enjoying a peaceful and secluded spot on the very edge of the Pennines, has been completely renovated.

With big open spaces, and a warm, muted colors scheme of browns greens and creams, the interior is chic and contemporary, with clean lines and plenty of light. It now houses a large spa, health club, gymnasium, hair salon and apartments where visitors can enjoy extended, overnight stays to make the most of a relaxing spa break.

Titanic Eco Spa Treatments and Therapies

Titanic uses a great range of designer products in their spa treatments, Decleor, Elemis, Carita and ghd Spa are all to be found there. No smaller is their range of treatments. As one might expect, there are a wide selection of body and face treatments, manicures, pedicures, alternative therapies such as Hopi ear candles and reflexology, not forgetting beauty treatments including hairdressing, waxing, tinting and tanning.

Titanic's signature collection is a wonderful range of full day packages costing between up to £295. All include refreshments and a light lunch in the Bistro and use of the 'Club Titanic' facilities including pool, sauna and steam rooms and gymnasium.

At £99 on weekdays, the 'Simply Titanic' offers a great value way to enjoy a relaxing rejuvenating experience. As well as the facilities mentioned above it includes the Titanic Heat Experience, a 25 minute Target massage and Taster facial.

If you fancy a journey of complete pampering and indulgence you could always try the glamorous 'VIP Caribbean Ceremony'. Start by enjoying a glass of bubby and some decadent chocolates whilst you talk through the treatments with your therapist. Then, after experiencing the Titanic Heat Experience, in the luxury of their VIP suite you will enjoy an Elemis Exotic Frangipani Body Nourish Wrap.

This fuses the aromas of Tahitian Coconut and Frangipani flowers, which soaked together form the basis of the wrap and will leave you feeling radiant and your body soft, supple and glowing. Also on this menu is the Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. A wonderful exfoliation ritual that devitalizes and stimulates the body, after which the Island Flower Body Lotion will leave skin glowing and vital.

Titanic Eco Spa Facilities

The Spa itself benefits from 20 treatment rooms, including a duo room in which you can share your treatments with loved one or friend, all of which enjoy a relaxed soothing atmosphere.
