threading for hair removal

hair removal guide

There are many ways to remove unwanted hair and one of the newest trends is known as hair threading. Hair threading is great in that you can do it in the comfort of your own home, or choose to visit a salon. As with every other method of hair removal, threading has its pros and cons.

For starters, hair threading has the bonus of being far better than shaving or bleaching; however, it is about as painful to partake in as waxing. Although the level of pain does depend a lot on how sensitive your skin is as well as how thick your hair is.

Although it does go a lot faster when you have hair threading done at a salon, you can easily do this procedure yourself at home, as long as you know a few basic details.

You will need to start out with approximately two feet of durable sewing thread. To achieve the continuous circle, which is necessary, knot the ends of the thread together.

Use both hands to hold the thread and wind the thread ten times until you have something that looks like a bow tie.

Make sure that the wound portion ends up in the middle. Slide the wound portion in the direction of one of your hands. You can achieve this by spreading the fingers on one hand while closing the fingers on your other hand.

Practice moving the area that is wound back and forth by switching the fingers that you spread and close.

When you have figured out how to move the wound part back and forth with easy, you are now ready to move on. Ideally, you should practice threading on your legs to start with, as this is a large area to learn on.

Find yourself a comfortable chair and sit with one leg raised at a comfortable level. Pick the hair that you wish to remove and settle the wound side of the thread on one side of the hair and then lay the thread from the opposite end around both sides of the hair.

At this point, you want to do the finger stretching and closing technique to allow the wound area to move to the other side of the thread. This will grab the hair and remove it right from the root. Continue using this method until you have removed all of the hair that you wish to be rid of.

A very good idea is to have a professional do your hair threading the first time. This way, you can watch what is done and you will have a far better idea of how to do this yourself at home.

Hair threading also has the benefit of being affordable unlike some other hair removal methods. Besides, the money can be viewed as an investment as you will be able to do it at home for free in the future.

How often you will need to do hair threading really depends on how quickly that your hair grows. Many women find that they only need to thread their hair on an average of once a month.

Threading produces absolutely no negative side effects that will harm you in any way. However, if you have a low pain tolerance, you may find that threading will cause you a certain amount of discomfort.

On the positive side, once you have the hang of hair threading, you can use this method to remove unwanted hair at home any time that you wish.
