The A Vitamin
Vitamin a is a very important nutrient in keeping your skin healthy. It is needed in order for your skin to be able to repair itself from damage. Without Vitamin A, even your skin care products will not work correctly.
You may also experience dry skin, breakouts, wrinkle-prone skin and splitting nails. Vitamin A is an antioxidant. Vitamin A is fat soluble, and works better when paired with other vitamins.
Leafy greens such as lettuce, brightly-colored vegetables such as sweet potatoes and carrots, and liver contain the highest amounts of Vitamin A.
Vitamin A is easily integrated in a diet, because it is available in so many different kinds of foods. Foods containing Vitamin A should be eaten regularly.
The C Vitamin
Vitamin C is one of the vitamins that is paired with Vitamin A. Vitamin C is another antioxidant that is important in skincare. It helps build collagen.
Collagen helps fight aging and damage in skin. Low levels of Vitamin C are associated with making skin very weak and prone to damage from aging and UV rays.
Citrus fruits are most commonly associated with Vitamin C, although there are many high-quality Vitamin C supplements out there as well.
Our body requires a lot of Vitamin C, so a supplement should be considered. Otherwise, orange juice should be a staple in diets, as well as other citrus fruits.
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Alpha lipoic acid is an important antioxidant supplement as well. It is valuable in helping the other antioxidants work better, aside from the positive effects it has on your body by itself. Alpha lipoic acid is very versatile and can have good effects on all parts of our body.
