Serenity Spa Seaham Hall Review
Experience Thermal Baths In Full Luxury
The Serenity Spa and Seaham Hall Hotel are linked by an enchanting underground walkway, but their ties go far deeper than that.
Within view of the sea, the aptly titled Seaham Hall Hotel, part of the Von Essen Collection, is a delightful and luxurious boutique hotel.
With 18 suites and rooms, all of which are individually designed with chic furnishings and beautiful bathrooms; sumptuous dining experiences, stunning surroundings and the fabulous Serenity Spa, it offers its guests a truly pampered and indulgent visit.
The Spa is in every way just as luxurious an experience as the hotel itself. The inspiration for its design is Feng Shui, whilst its style is Oriental.
Fusing teak, granite and limestone to create a haven of calm and relaxation, and offering more than 45 treatments plus a wonderful selection of facilities, the Serenity Spa has understandably won an abundance of awards. It has been voted Best UK Spa Destination by Conde Nast Traveller, 5 bubbles in the Good Spa Guide and Best Spa for Style by the The Sunday Times.
Serenity Spa Seaham Hall ~ Spa Treatments and Therapies
Treatments at the Serenity Spa have been drawn together from throughout the world, bringing you the best of ancient techniques and practices and the most perfect products that use only the finest ingredients.
There is a full range of treatments, from the holistic hot stone massages, Reiki and Hopi ear candles through to waxing, eyebrow tinting and shaping, manicures and pedicures. With treatments designed especially with men in mind and mums-to-be, there is something for everyone at Serenity.
The Serenity's Signature Hot Foot and Scalp Ritual targets the scalp, which connects us to our central nervous system, and pressure points of the body. Using hot stone massage, placement and aromas this wonderfully relaxing treatment will give you an immediate sense of well being and calm.
The Elemis Musclease Aroma Spa Ocean Wrap is equally inviting. A robust seaweed wrap cocoons the body, offering tired and aching muscles absolute relaxation whilst a pressure point facial massage and de-stress scalp treatment using essential oils completes this tantalizingly restful treatment.
Thermal baths are the very soul of the Serenity Spa. They are centered on a 20 meter Ozone cleansed pool that is complete with massage stations. Outside are two hot tubs, but indoors are a plethora of other heat and water delights.
The steam room with its black granite walls, color changing fibre optic lights and aromatic steam is second to none, whilst the large sauna and samarium have crystal therapies, comfortable contoured seats and views of the pool through glass doors. The Hydrotherapy bath has powerful jets that massage and refresh, whilst the Hammam steam room with its aroma infused snail showers and whirlpool bath are a haven of heat. For the brave, after the warmth of steam and stone, there are plunge pools and an ice fountain to invigorate and rejuvenate.
The on-site Technogym fitness suite has personal trainers available, whilst the aerobic studio plays host to a wide selection of high and low impact exercise and well-being classes. With a roof garden and the spa's own Ozone Restaurant offering a tempting selection of Pan Asian menus, the Serenity Spa is indeed a great place to pamper and replenish both body and mind.
