Nail Wraps Popular Artificial Nails
Nail wraps are strips of paper, silk, or linen that are custom trimmed to the size and shape of the full nail plate with just enough extra material at the free edge of the nail to slightly overlap the tip.
Once the strips have been cut to size, they are carefully glued on and manicured with base coat, polish, and a top coat.
The excess material at the tip is neatly tucked under the nail tip and glued as well. Nail wraps typically last 2 to 3 weeks, or about the time it takes your natural nails to slice through the wrapped edges.
Like nail tips, wraps are difficult to apply at home (you’re essentially one-handed!) and keep the nails covered too long to suit our taste.
