Mandarin Oriental Spa Review
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel Spa
With more than 170 luxurious and elegant rooms and suites, award winning cuisine, a fully equipped business center and one of the most prominent addresses in the capital, It's not surprising that The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel is also host to one of the top spas not only in the UK, but worldwide.
Adjacent to Hyde Park, this sumptuous hotel enjoys first-rate views of the Household Cavalry's daily procession, and popping out to the local shops equates to a trip to Harvey Nichols or Harrods.
But if the rigors of London life are getting you down, the West End has lost its glitz, or the sales are just another day then a visit to the Mandarin Oriental Spa will revive and rejuvenate, leaving you fit to face the world in all its glory.
Spa Treatments and Therapies
Treatments available at the Spa at Mandarin Oriental are many and varied, with body scrubs, wraps, massage and facials that have been influenced by mystic philosophies and therapies drawn from the four corners of the world. Their Time Ritual™ spa journeys start with a welcoming foot ritual and continues with personalized treatments that are based upon ancient techniques originating from China, Bali, Thailand and Europe.
Advanced Time, Holistic Time and Signature treatments, combined with heat and water experiences and tailored to meet the individuals needs, will restore the body's natural balance and evoke a feeling of well being.
Amongst the Advanced Time treatments is the Life Dance Massage; just under 2 hours of relaxing massage and ritual. After the welcoming foot cleanse a salt and oil body scrub and a gentle facial cleanse ensures the body is made ready to receive the Shiatsu style free flowing massage that is designed to improve flexibility and movement. An Oriental head massage concludes this ultimate de-stressing treatment.
One of the tempting Signature treatments on offer is the Oriental Harmony. After the opening foot rituals, two therapists work simultaneously to provide a warm scrub, softening and restoring the skin. This is followed by a soothing massage before completing the treatment with harmonized head and foot massage, leaving both body and mind revitalized and fortified.
All treatment prices include the use of the single sex heat and water oasis experiences which guests are encouraged to enjoy prior to their treatments.
In addition to their treatments The Mandarin Spa offers manicure, pedicure and eye lifts. Yoga, Tai Chi-Qi Gong, Pilates, personal training and nutrition advice are all available as well.
This most sumptuous urban spa has eight private treatment rooms and separate male and female facilities. Its vitality pool enjoys warm mineral waters and hydrotherapy stations, with bubble seats, a jet lounger and pedijets to sooth those aching feet. With a stunning Zen color therapy relaxation area, Amethyst crystal steam room, sanarium and a well equipped gymnasium the Mandarin truly offers a haven of calm from the maelstrom of life in the city.
