Homemade Recipes for Avocado Skin Care

Using it in much the same way as you would use a cucumber, you just need to cut the fruit into thin slices and hold it under the eye on the puffy area for just 20 minutes.

While you do this, you may as well make an avocado skin care eye cream at the same time; it would be a shame not to! Slice and dice 3 slices of the fruit and mix with 5 or 6 drops of almond oil and you have a nourishing eye cream that takes just 5 minutes per day to work its magic.

If you have particularly dry skin, the nourishing and moisturizing properties of the avocado can help. All you need to do is mash up about half of the fruit, throw it on your face and leave for around a quarter of an hour before rinsing it off with warm water and then dabbing or patting the face dry with a towel. Do not rub – this stretches and can damage the skin.

You can also make a paste with your half of the avocado and mix with vegetable oil for a really deep nourishing face mask and it works in the same way as the previous face mask; leave on the face for around fifteen to twenty minutes, rinse with warm water and then pat the face dry and see the benefits of avacado to your skin.

We all neglect our hands from time to time but the good news is that the avocado skin care regime extends to this area of the body as well! Smash up a quarter of the fruit and add with one egg white, 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and a little bit of lemon juice and apply to hands. Wash off after 20 minutes and you will have baby smooth skin on your hands.
